About The Rainbow Tree Day Nursery in Gravesend

We opened in January 2016, catering for children aged between 3 months and 5 years. Marie Gleadow and Jo Newby are the Nursery co-managers. To find out more information please feel free to call or email the nursery.
Whilst your child is in our care we understand that their well-being and safety is a priority, reflecting this is important and what we have close to our hearts. The Rainbow Tree Day Nursery provides stimulating and welcoming environments and prizes its self on safe and purposeful practices and provisions.
We understand greatly how worrying it can be for parents/carers to separate from their much loved children and to leave them under the care of others and we aim to make this as stress free as possible.

‘Home-from-Home Environment’ for all children

At The Rainbow Tree Day Nursery we aim to provide a ‘Home-from-Home Environment’ for all children, maximising their comfort and well-being. We aim to work closely with parents/carers and when achievable we will reflect every child’s home routine. We hope you find The Rainbow Tree Day Nursery a happy, welcoming and safe environment.
Within the nursery the children are split into groups depending on age, we have a Baby Room which caters for our much younger children aged between 3-24 months. They have two rooms which reflect different activities and they also have access to a ‘Sleep Room’ with cots and mats available for a higher quality of rest time. Two-Three year Olds have access to the top level of the nursery, which consists of two large rooms for different activities and a smaller room. Pre-school children will experience a very similar lay out on the lower floor of the nursery.

Outside Space

The Rainbow Tree Day Nursery offer ‘Outside Space’ where we have age-appropriate climbing frames, a slide, bikes, selection of garden games, a mud kitchen. where the children can explore. The outside areas are also a great opportunity for great physical development and fresh air!
We work on a ‘Key Person’ system. This means your child will be assigned a member of staff who will work closely with parents/carers and your child ensuring they are happy, stimulated and be encouraged to learn in appropriate and personal ways.
We use an app called Famly which allows us to post pictures of your children and send messages between parents and us. We can sign the children in and out, write what they have eaten, nappies/toileting etc, we do observations and also tracks their progress.
